JOSEFINE OPSAHL: Cytropia

DR Koncerhus says: CYTROPIA is a tribute to syntheses between eras, expression, man and machine, analog and ambient; a manifesto for the belief in the future, progress, innovation, human creativity and creativity. Alone on stage with her 150-year-old cello and electronic instruments, Josefine Opsahl fills the Concert Hall with her powerful orchestral sound worlds and distinctive raw energy.

In the field of tension between the classical music tradition and the sounds of today, she creates music that is both beautiful and raw, rhythmic and ambient, human and cosmic. Virtuosoly, she lets expressions and eras merge when she unleashes her imagination between the acoustic and electronic worlds, and with her cello as the only instrument on stage, lets the sounds rise to new, intoxicating heights.

"CYTROPIA is a tribute to syntheses between eras, expression, man and machine, analog and ambient; a manifesto for the belief in the future, progress, innovation, human creativity and creativity."
