Behind the seams
About Stina Resting
Working in a field between ready-to-wear and art pieces, Stina Resting creates sculptural, feminine and sporty womenswear, costumes and textile installations for both artists, theaters, dancers, and more.
Besides designing in her own name and designing for others in various projects, Stina also teaches and facilitates workshops within design.
Stina Resting is trained as a fashion designer from The Royal Academy, Copenhagen (DK) - where she finished both a BA (2012) and MA (2017) in Fashion Design.
Behind Stina Resting is a longtime love with sewing - in all its appearances through stitches, seams, embroidery, fabrics and textile manipulation.
Since learning to sew in her grandmother's home, the fascination of shape shifting, transformation of fabric and the magic of creating with your own hands have been a driving force.
In 2026, Stina Resting launched a design platform of digital patterns sharing her design philosophy and DNA through versatile, modern and inspirational designs.
Giving back from years of design teaching, Stina aims to share knowledge, inspire by example and improve people’s sewing skills by building a community of craft, DIY and creative expression.
Stina Resting creates one-of-a-kind and limited edition ready-to-wear - that stresses craftmanship, slow creation and a uniqueness of objects for the collectors mind.
